Protheroe House, our Season senior living scheme in Haringey, has won the award for the ‘Most innovative supported/sheltered housing scheme’ at this year’s Housing Innovation Awards.
The Housing Innovation Awards, now in their sixth year, celebrate innovation in the UK housing sector and highlight examples of inventive and original schemes and services.
Opened in August 2016, Protheroe House is a collection of brand new purpose-built flats located on Chesnut Road in the Tottenham regeneration area. it is close to the cafés, restaurants, shops and transport links on Tottenham High Road, while being located on a quiet residential road.
It features 36 one-bedroom and 14 two-bedroom self-contained flats, providing bright and modern homes. These are complemented by spacious common areas and facilities, including restaurant, bar, lounges, and landscaped gardens. There is also a licenced café, The Larder @ Tottenham, open to residents and the public, serving food and drink every day.
The concept of extra care enables residents to live completely independently, with high quality on-site care and support available if needed. This care covers a range of needs and is able to respond flexibly to meet changing needs.
Innovation is important to us so this is a really significant award and a very important category for us to win. Congratulations to everyone involved in the scheme!
